Attempting to repair the Bayesian database may result in the following error message:
“Failed to repair Bayesian DB”
Solution
If this is a first time installation of FortiMail, and the Bayesian database feature has never been used so far, a format of the hard disk is required, with the commands show below.
Note: This will erase any log files or quarantined emails that may be on the disk.
execute formatmail
execute formatlog
If the Bayesian database had already been imported and/or was working fine, and these error messages now appear, contact Fortinet technical support for further assistance.
