  • FortiClient 2.0 firewall component
  • Windows XP (with fast user switching feature enabled)
Steps or Commands

The FortiClient Firewall presents Security Warning popups when a new application attempts to access the Internet. The Security Warning allows the user to Allow or Deny such access, and to eventually create a new Firewall Application rule/policy.

If multiple XP logon sessions are enabled with XP's Fast User Switching feature, these security warning messages will only display in the first logon session. A user on a second XP session will not see the warning box, and will not be able to answer the questions presented.

This functionality is supported in the upcoming FortiClient 3.0 version.
