When adding a FortiGate unit in Device Manager (Device> Add Device), you need to select an Admin User. The Admin User can be the default "admin" of the FortiGate unit when it is shipped, or an alternate administrative user.
It is important to note that when selecting Other for the Admin User, the administrative username you enter must have super_admin access, similar to the "admin" user to manage the FortiGate unit. The FortiManager system cannot properly manager the FortiGate unit.
