How to pass non IP traffic (such as DECNET) through a FortiGate unit in Transparent Mode

Description
To allow non IP traffic to pass thorough FortiGate unit, you need to enable the l2forward setting. Without enabling l2forward, the FortiGate unit blocks all non IP traffic default.
Solution

Enter the following CLI commands to enable l2forward.

config system interface
  edit <name_str>
    set l2forward enable
end
