Description

The default behavior for Internet Explorer is to display an authentication window when it is prompted for an NTLM challenge.

However, it is possible to configure the browser (Internet Explorer) to automatically send credentials, transparently, with the following procedure.

  1. In Internet Explorer menu go to Tools > Internet Options.
  2. Go to "Security" Tab
  3. Select "Custom level" for the zone to customize (Internet, Intranet, Trusted sites)
  4. Scroll down to "User Authentication" feature and select your NTLM authentication scheme:

* User Authentication

* Logon

(_) Anonymous logon
(_) Automatic logon only in Intranet Zone
(X) Automatic logon with current user name and password
(_) Prompt for user name and password
