Description
The message "Attention: Device registration Incomplete" may appear when logging to a FortiGate running FortiOS 4.0 or above. 

It is shown in the WEB Based Manager popup below:

Scope


Solution
This is due to some services not having yet been registered on the FortiGate or if the Fortigate does cannot contact the Fortinet Distribution Network (FDN) server so it can update its contract(s). 
 
The avoid this message, you can :

1-  Allow the FortiGate unit to contact the Fortinet Distribution Network (FDN) server so it can update its support contract.
If the FortiGate gets access to the FDN, you can force an update as follows. See also related articles to troubleshoot FDN problems.
  • from the Web based manager, go to System > Maintenance > FortiGuard.
  • Select the blue arrow for the AntiVirus and IPS Options to expand the options.
  • Select Update Now.

2 - The following CLI command is available to disable the display of this message:
config sys global
set registration-notification disable
end
