Description
The option of "Use Extended signature database" in FortiClient Real-time Protection has been removed from the GUI since v4.1.2.
However, if "Extended signature database" is enabled in FortiClient Real-time Protection, it may cause a performance issue in some older computers.

Solution
The use of "Extended signature database" in FortiClient Real-time Protection can be disabled by changing the registry key value for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Fortinet\FortiClient\FA_FMON\UseExtendedDB from 1 to 0.
