Description
The AS (Antispam) Engine and the AS Rule Set are released from FortiOS 4.0 as described in the FortiOS Release Notes. The AS Engine does heuristic scanning of email by using the AS Rule Set.
The AS Engine, AS Rule Set, AV Engine and IPS Engine do not receive regular updates. Only the Virus Definitions and Attack Definitions will get updates on a regular basis.
The AS Rule Set is introduced in firmware FortiOS 4.0 and currently there is no update available. Once the update is received by the FortiGate the updated date will be automatically modified.
The blacklisted IP addresses database will not be saved in the FortiGate. The FortiGate will do a real time query for the blacklisted IP addresses.
The version information can be verified by the command:
# diagnose autoupdate version
