All FortiOS users using IPV6 addressing.
Solution
Complete the following steps in order to ensure IPV6 addressing schemes are configurable on the FortiGate:
1. Configure IPV6 addressing via the FortiOS web-based manager by connecting to the FortiGate and configuring the following:
# config system global
# set gui-ipv6 enable |
2. Configure via the CLI the firewall addressing in IPV6 format
config firewall address6
edit <name_str>
set ip6 <address_ipv6prefix>
end --- > this allows addresses and policies with IPv6 |
