Description

This article explains how to resolve hostnames for the source IP address under "Top Sessions" widget.

Solution

The FortiGate device needs to be configured as follows:

System > Network > Options > Primary DNS IP should be set to the internal DNS server IP address

The DNS Server default Gateway should be point to FortiGate internal interface IP address.

On the client system the primary DNS should be point to the internal DNS server IP address.

All the existing sessions for the client must be cleared on which you are trying browse.

The source hostname on the top sessions widget should then be displayed as shown below:
