Description
In order to receive technical support and to have access to software upgrades it is important to register TalkSwitch products on the Fortinet Customer Service and Support web portal.

The TalkSwitch system ID and serial number will be required to complete the registration.

Solution
TalkSwitch Serial Number.
The TalkSwitch Serial Number is located on the bottom of the phone system, it begins with the letters "TS".
TalkSwitch System ID.
Version 7

To locate the System ID in version 7.xx, open the management software and connect to the system. From the main 'About' page, select My System near the bottom of the page. The System ID will be displayed for all connected systems.

Version 6.50

To locate the System ID in version 6.50, open the TalkSwitch software and connect to the system.  From the menu bar select Tools > Uninstall Licence.  The System ID will then be displayed in a pop-up window.  Note down the System ID then select 'Close'.

Version 6.12

To locate the System ID in version 6.12, open the TalkSwitch software and connect to the system.  Select 'Licensed Add-ons' from the Configuration Menu.  Select 'Activate It' from the Extended Warranty display.  Note down the System ID then select 'Close'.

If the Extended Warranty has already been activated it is not possible to select 'Activate It' and in this case it is necessary to select 'Deactivate'.  The System ID should then be displayed.  Note down the System ID then select 'Close'.
Registration on the Fortinet Customer Service and Support web portal.
1. Open a web browser, connect to https://support.fortinet.com and take the 'Sign Up' option to create a new account.

2. After creating the account, login to the Fortinet Customer Service and Support web portal and select the 'Renew/Register' option in the Asset Management section.

3. Enter the TalkSwitch serial number (for example: TS12441101000989).

4. Enter the System ID.

5. Enter a Product Description to identify the product, a company name or physical location could be used.

6. Select 'Next'.

7. Scroll to the end of the Services Agreement and select 'Agree'.

8. Finally, select 'Complete Registration' at the foot of the confirmation page.

9. If further units are to be registered select 'Register More' otherwise select 'Finish'.
