Description
This article explains how to generate and view the default FortiOS reports.

Only FortiGate devices with local disk storage support this feature. The disk storage capability of each FortiGate model is given on the Fortinet product datasheets available at:

Scope

FortiOS v4.0 MR3


Solution
In FortiOS v4.0 MR3 to manage and edit the default FortiOS report go to Log&Report > Report Access in the web-based manager.

This report has the following sub-menus:
  • Cover Page.
  • Bandwidth and Application Usage.
  • Web Usage.
  • Emails.
  • Threats.
  • VPN Usage.
These sub-menus are predefined with logging enabled and will automatically generate data corresponding to the FortiOS default report.

To run a report enter the section of the sub menu and perform the following steps:

1. To run the report select "run".

2. To view the generated report select "Historical Reports" and then download the corresponding report in .pdf format.
