Technical Note : How to change the view in Log&Report (v4.0 MR2, v4.0 MR3)

Description

If the log is enabled with both Memory log of the FortiGate and Remote log to send to the FortiAnalyzer, then it is possible to change the GUI view to see the log between FortiGate and FortiAnalyzer with the CLI commands given in this article.

Solution

For v4.0 MR2

Use the CLI as shown below to enable the FortiAnalyzer GUI:

# config log fortianalyzer setting
# set gui-display enable
# end

For 4.0 MR3

Use the CLI as shown below to enable the FortiGate memory GUI:

# config log gui
# set log-device memory
# end

For 4.0 MR3

Use the CLI as shown below to enable the FortiAnalyzer log GUI:

# config log gui
# set log-device fortianalyzer
# end
