Description

This article explains how to access the FortiCloud management portal and how to remove data from storage after the maximum storage quota has been reached.


Scope

After activating and using your Forticloud (FAMS) account, you have been enjoying the convenience of emails providing you reports on the activity and usage of your FortiGate device. One day you noticed you did not recieve your Web usage report for one of your registered devices. On your dashboard under "License Information" under "FortiCloud" (FAMS), you notice that your storage quota has reached the 1GB capacity. You need to investigate this further.


Solution
To access the FortiCloud (FAMS) portal:
• Go to System > Dashboard > Status >License Information > FortiCloud (FAMS) > Account

You will be presented with the following message.

100% storage quota of FGT60C3G12005279 has been used! Logs are no longer being sent from your FortiGate or FortiWiFi. Please delete some data or subscribe to the service.

On the dashboard tab, select the device whose quota is exceeded view the "device" widget.
If the device widget is not viewable you may add it to the dashboard by doing the following.

• Click the edit icon to the right of the device name > Add Widgets > System Widgets > Device Widgets
• The widget will appear at the bottom of the dashboard. You may drag it to the top if you like.
• In the Device Widget select the edit icon to the right of the device name.

• Click delete Data
• In the "Delete Data" dialogue box that appears enter the date that you would like to remove all data and time prior to. You may use the calendar tool to select a date and time. Then click submit.

• You will be requested to confirm your date selection. Click YES.
• You will be notified that the update was successful. Click Close
• Hover your mouse over the top bar of the Device Widget, so the refresh button appears at the top right corner of the widget. Click Refresh.
• The "Used" column will be updated with the current amount of data in MB being used.
