Description

The system information widget presents the Windows VM status in warning mode and no VM is available for sandbox inspection.

The following errors will be recorded in event log:

2014-09-29 17:04:53 error event Could not activate all the VM images with given keys. Please reburn other valid keys or reboot after changing your environment/network settings system
2014-09-29 17:04:52 error event Failed to activate WIN7X64VM with key AAAAA-BBBBB-CCCCC-DDDDD-EEEEE system
2014-09-29 17:00:00 critical event The VM system is not running and might need more time to startup. Please check system logs for more details. If needed, please reboot system. system
2014-09-29 17:00:00 critical event Windows VM are not activated or initialized. system


Solution

The following key must be added to enable the nested VT feature either at VM level in the vmx VMWare configuration file or /etc/vmware/config:

vhv.enable = "true"
