Description
There have been reports of instability when using a Verizon Pantech
UML290 3G/4G modem with a FortiGate. The modem sometimes
disconnects and reconnects on its own.
Solution
The problem is caused by the modem switching randomly from 3G to 4G
or vice-versa due to instability in the provider network. The
solution for this problem is to lock the modem to operates only in
3G mode or only in 4G mode instead of allowing the modem to
auto-detect the mode.
