SolutionYou may do so by enabling port monitoring, or port
mirroring in some switch setup, both will achieve the same thing. This
will make a selected port mirror all traffic in and out of the port of
interest so a user can put a PC with a sniffing software, such as
Wireshark, and take packet capture and save it to a file to be reviewed
at a later time. The advantage of taking packet capture on a laptop/PC
is the size of the file you can store, capture on the controller is
limited, but on a laptop/desktop it's limited by the hard drive space.
This will allow you to get a continuous capture and only review if
something happened.
