Solution
RESET ADMIN PASSWORD IN IDM

Follow the below commands to RESET the ADMIN password for IDM.

Step 1. Login to the IDM CLI as root user.

Step 2. In the main menu choose option 3 ( Authentication ).

Step 3. Select the option which says " reset / change the admin password"

Step 4. Confirm that you wanted to change the password.

Step 5. Your admin password has been reset now to default.
 

Step 6. Now your username and password for admin user is admin/admin
 

CHANGE THE ADMIN PASSWORD FROM DEFAULT IN IDM

Follow the below commands to CHANGE the ADMIN password for IDM.

Step 1. Login to the IDM GUI with admin credentials (https://IDM_ip_address/admin).

Step 2. Currently the credentials will be set to default. ( admin/admin 

Step 3. Once GUI is loaded, navigate to option DEVICES on the left side

Step 4. Select option admin user under devices. 

Step 5. Click on the admin user field and it would open a page with properties of the admin user.

Step 6. In the box provided for password, please enter the new password and re-type the same on the next box as well.

Step 7. Click on save button.

Step 8. Your password is saved now.
