Solution
Scenario :

Captive Portal has been configured to work in Custom mode. Captive portal will use files in the custom folder inside the file system and will ignore the files stored in the default captive portal page.

If it is required to delete all the files inside the custom captive portal folder ( CUSTOM MODE ) due to uploading wrong files or, if completely starting from scratch, one can follow the below steps to accomplish it.

Note : Following the below steps, will delete all the files and will not restore the default files. Custom captive portal folder will remain empty and requires to upload the files freshly again. Also if one tries to use captive portal after performing the below steps, it will show a blank page since there are no files that match the filename that the controller is trying to redirect the users to.

Steps :

Go to Maintenance ---> Captive portal ---> Customization ---> Check whether CUSTOMIZED mode is selected ---> (IF YES), Select option DELETE FILES

The above steps will perform the task as mentioned above. Now the custom folder will not contain any files. Start uploading the new files to the controller making sure that custom mode is selected.
