Technical Note: Services and Port numbers required for FortiSandbox

Description

In order to reach to services like Cloud Server, Web Filtering Server, FortiGuard Servers, FortiCloud Sandbox need specific services to be allowed to function correctly.

The following diagram shows each service and the required port numbers.

Scope

FortiSandbox v2.1 and later.

Solution

The following command can be used to verify if all the required services are allowed by the upstream:

> test-network

This command checks the following:

• VM internet access
• Internet connection
• system dns resolve speed
• VM dns resolve speed
• ping speed
• wget speed
• Web Filtering service
• FSA community cloud service

If the result is ‘Passed’, it means that there is no issue with the upstream.

If there is any issue with specific service mentioned above, it will be shown in the command output.
