DescriptionFortiMail allows the user to configure their preferred language to manage the device. This article explains how to do it on a FortiMail device, regardless of the operation mode (Transparent, Gateway or Server mode) that is being used.
SolutionThe language can be changed selecting the 'Default Language' at System > Customization > Appearance. However, this option only changes the login screen that is seen when accessing the FortiMail using the GUI. It does not modify all GUI administration which remains in English.
Use the following steps to configure to see all options and functions in another preferred language:
- Go to System > Administrator > Administrator
- Select the administrator account to be modified. It is important to understand that the change for the language in the management using the GUI, is for each 'administrator account' and not for the system as a whole. The language must be changed for each 'administrator account' that wants to change their preferred language.
- Select the preferred language in the 'Language' option.
- Click on OK to save the configuration.
