This article describes how to change the collector's hostname.
Solution
Here is a step by step guide:
1.Log onto the VMware console Select Configure Network
1.1 Use all the default settings until the option to change the hostname for the collector appears.
1.2 Leave the rest of the configuration as the previous default
2. Under the FortiSIEM GUI head to the organization [Admin > Setup Wizard > Organization]
2.1 Select the organization that the collector is listed under and hit [edit]
2.2 In the next pop up window [Organization Definition] select the collector and hit [edit]
2.3 change out the name and [save] the changes
2.4 Save the changes made under Organization Definition
3. Now re-register the collector by going to https://[ip]:5480/
This is a step that must be done in order to properly change the collector's hostname.
