Technical Note: Reset root access password for Infrastructure Wireless LAN Appliance

Description

Units are shipped with different software based apon what has been ordered.  Available options are:

• FortiWLM (or EzRF)
  
• FortiConnect (or Meru Conenct)
  
• FortiCenter (or Meru Center)

Each software has its own way of accessing the root shell and different troubleshooting steps, these are specific to software not hardware.  

Solution

Product	Root Access	Factory Reset
FortiWLM	Direct root password	No Option available, multiple steps are required to achieve this. In release FortiWLM 8.3 this feature will be added  to reset to factory defaults.
