Description
A FortiManager High-Availability cluster consists of up to five FortiManager units of the same FortiManager model.
All changes to the FortiManager database are saved on the primary unit and then these changes are synchronized to the backup units.

The FortiManager configuration of the primary unit, is also synchronized to the backup units but there are some exceptions.
This article lists the parameters that are not synchronized between the primary and the backup unit(s) :
  • Local logs & Alert Message Console logs (data)
  • SNMP configuration settings
  • Log configuration settings
  • FortiGuard Distribution Server (FDS) AntiVirus/IPS packages
  • FortiGuard web-filtering/antispam and file query databases
  • FortiAnalyzer feature configuration setting
  • FortiGate logs sent to the FortiManager
