Wireless Hosts Fail to Match Location Based Profiling Rules

Version:  Network Sentry 7.0 - 7.2.0


Issue:  Wireless hosts fail to register using Device Profiling Rules configured for Location Method. 

The Device Profiling Rules are trying to process before the SSID information gets associated to the host.  This causes the initial run of the Device Profiling Rules to fail to match.


Workaround:  Re-run the Device Profiling Rule.

1. In the Administrative UI, navigate to Hosts > Device Profiling Rules.
2. Highlight the rule and click the Run button.

Solution:  Addressed in Network Sentry version 7.2.1.
