Use of the Authorized Access Points Group

Ports that are members of the Authorized Access Points Group...
  • Do not generate "Multi Access Point Detected" events or alarms when multiple MAC addresses are detected.
  • Do not switch to another VLAN during, for example, Forced Registration or Role Management VLAN Switching.
Add switch ports that connect to hubs and wireless access points to this group.

Using Ports View

1.  Click Network Devices > Topology.
2.  Expand the Container where the device is located.
3.  Select a device.
4a.  In the Ports tab on the right, right-click on a port and select Group Membership.

Ctrl-click to select multiple ports, right-click and select Add Ports to Groups.
5.  Select the Authorized Access Points checkbox.


Using Group View
1.  Select System > Groups.
2.  Select the group.
3.  Click the Modify button at the bottom of the window.
4.  To add members to the group, Ctrl-click items in the All Objects panel, then click the right arrow button.
5.  When all the desired members that are to be part of the group are selected, click OK.
