Convert Dynamic/Always Uplink Ports into WAP Uplinks

Solution

Version: Network Sentry 7 and above

Issue: Trying to change a port defined as a learned or manual uplink to a WAP Uplink.

Solution:

1. From Topology View, right-click on the switch port defined as an Uplink and select Port Properties.
2. Select the clear box and Apply.
3. Back in Topology View, right-click on the switch and select L2 Poll Hosts Information. This reads the ports on the switch and determines if they need to be defined as Uplinks.

If a WAP is connected, the port will be turned into a WAP Uplink.
