Meru Connectivity Issues In Bridge Mode

Scope
Version:  Meru Version 6.1-3.6 Bradford Version 7.2.1.120
Solution
Version:  Meru Version 6.1-3.6 Bradford Version 7.2.1.120

Issue:  If a Meru controller running 6.1-3.6 is configured in “Bridge Mode” and exposed to excessive DHCP traffic the Meru controller can get into a state where this condition can affect radius communication between the Meru Controller and wireless hosts trying to connect to it. The symptom displays as wireless hosts not being able to reach the Meru controller or their default gateway in a timely manner.

Solution:  Make sure that the customer has not mistakenly configured DHCP relay on an L2 network. This can lead to double the amount of DHCP traffic produced.  DHCP requests and responses will be replicated once from/to eth1 and once from/to the DHCP relay interface.
