Issue: Agents running version 3 are not able to communicate with Network Sentry 8.0.4. Symptoms include:
- Cannot register using the 3.x Agent.
- Agent popups not appearing.
- Unable to scan.
- Unable to send messages to Agent from Host View.
Agents running version 4.x are not affected.
Network Sentry 8.0.4 uses an updated SSL cipher suite which 3.x agents do not use. This mismatch in cipher suites prevents 3.x agents from communicating to Network Sentry. 4.x agents are not affected.
Workaround: Contact support to re-enable the older cipher. Reference Tech Note "3.x Agents Not Communicating with Network Sentry Version 8.0.4".
A restart of the Bradford Services are required for the change to take effect.
Solution: Addressed in Network Sentry version 8.0.4.102.
