Description

This article describes how to manually add a vendor OUI.

An online OUI lookup tool can be used for OUI vendor information.

Scope

FortiOS versions 8.x, 9.x.

Solution

If a Vendor OUI is not yet available via Auto-Definitions updates, it can be added to the database manually.

1) In the Administration UI, navigate to the Vendor OUIs view.

Version 9.1:  Network -> Settings -> Identification -> Vendor OUIs.

Version 8.x, 9.2 & 9.4:  System -> Settings  -> Identification -> Vendor OUIs.

2) Select Add at the bottom of the window.

3) Enter the Vendor OUI information. Select the '?' next to each field for additional information.

4) The Description field is optional and allows you to add notes about the OUI. This field is not displayed on the Vendor OUIs view.

5) Select the Registration Type Override for the device.

6) Select 'OK'.

For more information about this view, see the Vendor OUIs section in the applicable Administration Guide.

For identification folder visibility, enable Unified Settings under System -> Feature Visibility
