Description
This article provides basic steps to troubleshoot L2 or L3 Poll Failure events.

Solution
Check the following:
1.  Is the device red in Topology?  If so, Contact Status Polling is failing (NAC can't ping the device).  This is most likely a network related issue.
2.  If Contact Status Polling is successful, click the Credentials tab in Model Configuration and click the Validate Credentials button. 

3.  Proceed based upon the credential test outcome...

Further debugging may be required.  Contact Support for assistance.  

Open a support ticket and provide the following information:
  • Problem description
  • Screen capture of the device's Element tab in Network Devices > Topology
  • Screen capture of Help > About
