Description
It is recommended to disable traps for uplink ports in switch configurations.  Although traps for uplinks are not acted upon, they cause extra work for the appliance, as NAC processes each trap received.
Solution
How to Identify devices sending traps from uplink ports:

1.  Enable the event.
a.  In Administrative UI, navigate to Logs > Event Management.
b.  Right click on the event Mac Change on Uplink and select Internal.

2.  Identify uplink ports sending MAC Notification traps.
a.  Navigate to Logs > Events.
b.  Add Filter: Event
c.  From the Event drop-down, select Mac Change on Uplink.
d.  Adjust Date filter as appropriate.
e.  Click Update.
f.  To export results to a spreadsheet, click the icon for the type of export file needed at the bottom of the window (such as Excel).
g.  Click OK.
