Description

This article explains how to fix an issue where the event log does not display all expected events.

Scope

FortiNAC version 9.x.

Solution

When reviewing the Event Log under Logs -> Events & Alarms [Events], the number of events does not reach as far back as expected in some cases.

Events archive based on age and number of events (the maximum is 500,000).

To solve the issue, review the number of days' worth of events that are stored in the database and increase it as necessary.

1) Navigate to System -> Settings -> System Management -> Database Archive.

2) The Event/Alarm Age Time is the number of days events or alarms are maintained in the Events or Alarms logs and view-able in the Events or Alarms View. Events and Alarms are archived and purged based on the scheduled task settings. The default value is 7 days.

3) Change the setting to the desired value.

4) Select Save Settings.
