Description
Configuring Flex CLI with Network Device Roles

Solution
The following procedure configures Flex CLI to work with a Network Device Role.


Instructions:

1.  Create a port group for ports to which the Flex CLI will be applied.
Navigate to System > Groups > Add.   

2.  Create a role.
Navigate to Policy > Roles > Add.

3.  Create a Network Device Role that maps the role to the Flex CLI configuration.
     a.  Navigate to Policy > Roles > Network Device Roles > Add
     b.  Use the checkbox and the drop down to select the Role
     c.  Use the checkbox to select CLI
     d.  Use the add icon to add a flex CLI configuration
     e.  Name the Flex CLI
      f.  Add whatever commands necessary for the flex CLI to configure.

4.  Select the Port Group as the location.

5.  Click OK to save the Network Device Role.

6.  Ensure that the the ports in the port group are also in the role based access group.
Navigate to System > Groups > Role Based Access  

7.  Use the radial button to select the CLI configuration type in the model of the switch (port based or host based).
     a.  Navigate to Network Devices > Topology
     b.  Double click on the model of the switch desired to apply the network Device role.  

8.  Use the drop down box to select the Flex CLI name under default in the model configuration of the switch.
