Description
Device Profiled View Does Not List 'Topology View Only' Registered Devices

Scope
Version:   All
Solution
Version:  all

Issue:  When a rule is set to only register in Topology view, they are not get recorded in the Profiled Devices view.

This is expected behavior. Only devices registered in both the Host View and Topology will show up in the Profiled Devices View.  Devices registered in Topology View only will not.

This is documented in the online help (Device Profiler > Device Manager Functions > Profiled Devices:(

"The Profiled Devices view displays a list of devices that have been profiled using the Device Profiling Rules. Based on how closely each device matched a rule it was given a device type and placed either in the Topology View, the Host View or both. Devices placed in the Topology View do not display on the Profiled Devices tab. Devices placed in the Host View are shown on the Profiled Devices tab."
