Description
How to Configure WiFi Guest Access Requiring AUP Agreement

Solution
Version:  Network Sentry versions 7 & 8


Configure guest access with the following requirements:
  • Captive Portal display guest registration as the only option when isolated.
  • Guest must agreement to terms & conditions (Access Use Policy).
  • Guest access must be approved.


Solution: 
Configure Self-Registration requiring Access Use Policy (AUP) agreement.
For details on each step below, navigate to Help > Current View and expand the specified folders under the Contents tab.

1.  Create Self-Registration Template (Online Help: Guest Manager > Guest Self- Registration).

2.  Create Admin Profile and Administrative users who will approve Self-Registration requests (Online Help: Guest Manager > Guest Self- Registration).

3.  Create a separate portal for guest access (Online Help: Network Sentry Quick Start > Portal Configuration > Multiple Portals). 

4.  Configure portal pages for Guest Self-Registration.  (Online Help: Guest Manager > Guest Self- Registration
In the new portal configuration:
  a.  Select Require Sponsor Approval and configure accordingly.
  b.  Under the Acceptable Use Policy option, select either Show in Page or Show in HTML Link.
  c.  To make the Self-Registration page link visible when the host is isolated in registration, select
it in the Login Menu.

5.  Configure settings to generate the correct links in the emails sent to Sponsors (if necessary).  (Online Help: Guest Manager > Guest Self- Registration)

6.  Configure a portal policy that matches the guest SSID to which the users will connect (or some other criteria only rogue guests would match). (Online Help: Network Sentry Quick Start > Portal Configuration > Multiple Portals).
