Cisco WLC-5508 with FlexConnect Not Allowing Host Connections to SSIDs Requiring MAC Filtering

Solution

Issue:  Cisco WLC-5508 configured for FlexConnect not allowing host connections to SSIDs requiring MAC Filtering.

Log message on the WLC-5508:  
Either Vlan Name id Template invalid or no name to id mapping exist for interface 'vlan_200 guest'

It was discovered that on a Cisco controller using FlexConnect, spaces are not allowed in the Interface Name. 

Example:
WLC-5508 > Controller > Interface Name: vlan_200 guest
WLC-5508 > Wireless > FlexConnect VLAN > VLAN Template > VLAN Name: vlan_200_guest


Solution: Ensure the Interface Name matches the VLAN Name.
