SNMP v3 Unknown Security Name Errors with Network Sentry 8.1

Version: Network Sentry 8.1.0 and 8.1.1
Solution

Version: Network Sentry 8.1.0 and 8.1.1

Issue: L2/L3 Poll Failures and problem switching VLANs using SNMP v3. The following SNMP failure events are generated in Network Sentry for the device:
Message processing model 3 returned error: Unknown security name.

Workaround: Use SNMP v1 to manage devices.

Solution: Fixed in Network Sentry 8.1.2 and above.
