Description
The following features are not working properly:
  • Persistent Agent credential login window
  • Sending messages to the agent from NAC

These features in the Persistent Agent do not work if the computer is unable to resolve localhost.

Solution

1.  Verify if localhost resolves by typing the following command in the command prompt of affected Windows machine:
ping localhost

A reply from 127.0.0.1 or ::1 (depending upon the OS) should appear if resolving properly.  If ping fails, then the localhost entry may be missing.

2.  If ping fails, ensure the /etc/hosts file on the affected machine contains the localhost entry.
