How to Convert an Administrative User to a Standard User

Solution
Issue:  Need to change Administrative User record such that the user no longer has access to the Network Sentry Administrative UI.

Solution:  In order to change an Administrative User record to a standard User record, the Administrative User record must be deleted from Network Sentry.  This removes the User record completely from the database.

1.  If Admin Profiles are mapped to specific LDAP groups, ensure the user record is moved to a LDAP group in the directory that is not mapped to a profile. To view the profile mappings, navigate to Users > Admin Profile Mappings.
2.  Once the group membership change has been made, run Directory Synchronization in the Scheduled Tasks view (System > Scheduler).
3.  Delete the User record.  If hosts are registered against the user, message will display asking whether or not to delete the associated hosts.
4.  Re-add the User record.  Navigate to Users > User View.
5.  Click Add and enter User ID.

Alternatively, the next time the user logs in (if tracking the logged on user), or registers a device, the user will be added as a standard user.
