Description
Pop up message appears asking to grant the software permission when the Persistent Agent is updated on macOS machines.  When the macOS firewall is enabled and the option to “Automatically allow downloaded signed software to receive incoming connections” is selected (which is by default), this behavior can occur.

The Persistent Agent installer is signed.  The individual binaries, however, are not and this is causing the behavior.

Scope
Version:  Agent versions 3.x through 5.x
Solution
Workaround:  Click Allow when prompted.  Clicking Deny will prevent the agent from working properly.

Solution:  Addressed in Agent version 5.2.3.  All binaries are signed and packages / apps notarized and stapled for the supported macOS versions:
macOS 10.15 Catalina
macOS 10.14 Mojave
macOS 10.13 High Sierra
macOS 10.12 Sierra
Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan
Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite
Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks
