Problem


There are currently several open cases in the Case Management section of my ZoneFox instance, but I can't close them all.  Is there a way to close them?


Solution


You only have permission to edit, close and delete cases that you own.  It is therefore not possible for you to close cases owned by other users.


When you select the CASES → Open menu item to view the Case Management section, the case details (including the Owner) are displayed:



  1. When you select a case that you own, the option to EDIT it will be available:





  2. You can close a case, by changing the Status in the Edit Case Wizard:





  3. It is also possible to delete a case, if it is no longer required, by clicking on the DELETE CASE button in the Edit Case Wizard:


If you have selected a case owned by a different user, you will not have the option to edit it, so you will be unable to close or delete another user's case.
