Technical Note: Users Login redirects to Flash / Flex UI instead of HTML

Description

This article will quickly explain how to have the user role transition to HTML.  This type of behavior only happens to users who are not under the "Full Admin" role in FortiSIEM.  The "Full Admin" role, is the only role that can automatically transition between HTML and Flex without modification.

Solution

In order to have the current users transition from flex to HTML, the following must be done:

Prerequisite: Need a Full Administrative User to perform the task

1- Log into the HTML interface

2 - Find the role you would need to transition: Admin > Settings > Role

3 - Clone the Role that needs to transition to HTML

4 - Go to CMDB > Users

5 - Find the associated User

6 - Highlight and Edit the user

7 - Click on the "System Admin" checkbox, and "Pencil icon" in the pop up

8 - Find the Cloned Role under the "Default Role" drop down

9 - Click and Select the Organization Association or "All Orgs" for all organization associations to be identical

10 - Click Back

11 - Click Save

Have the specified user log into the HTML interface by going to: https://<supervisor address>/phoenix/html/

The user will be able to log into the HTML interface without further problems.
