Description

Vulnerability scanner integration with Tenable stopped working after upgrading Tenable to version 7 or higher.  Tenable has removed the development API used to integrate products with Nessus directly.

Symptoms include:
  • Polling and connection test failures in the System > Settings > System Communication > Vulnerability Scanners view
  • Vulnerability Scanner Connection Failure events

Solution

Customers need to contact Tenable to discuss options of upgrading their solution to the Tenable enterprise solution Tenable.io to re-enable the API leveraged in the Nessus Scanner integration.
