Description
In order to determine the cause for a VLAN change, review the Port Changes log in the Administration UI.

1.  Navigate to Logs > Port Changes

or

a. Navigate to Network Devices > Topology
b. In the switch port view, select the port whose VLAN changed
c. Right-click and select Port Changes

2. In the Port Changes view, select the desired filters and click Update.

3. Review the Port Change Reason column for the port at the time of the VLAN change. Possible Port Change Reasons include:
Registration—Port was moved into the Registration VLAN.
Remediation—Port was moved into the Remediation VLAN.
Dead-End—Port was moved into the Dead-End VLAN.
Default—Port was moved to the Default VLAN
Role—Port was moved into the VLAN specified by the role associated with the end-station and the port.

If this reason is listed, look at the Role/Access Policy column to determine the name of the Network Device Role or the Network Access Policy that triggered the port change.  For information on troubleshooting polices, see related KB article below.

Authentication—Port was moved into the Authentication VLAN.
Undo—Port was changed based on Undo commands in a CLI configuration.
