If a machine/endpoint drops off the network, FortiInsight will store the data locally on the machine, and keep storing events until the machine comes back online or until storage capacity is met in which case the oldest events will be deleted.
When the machine reconnects to the network, the stored events are forwarded on to FortiInsight, so that a complete picture of activity on the endpoint is maintained.
