Description
This article explains why the IP Address is not displayed for some listed hosts under Device Inventory.
Solution
Sometimes, under User & Device -> Device Inventory, the IP address is not displayed for some of the listed hosts.
Starting with FortiOS 5.4.1, the device detection feature will only perform scanning for units that are not explicitly configured in the CLI with a device type.
If the configuration includes the type for the device, no scanning will be performed and no IP detected.
