This article describes how to fix 'Invalid parameter supplied for the following APs and interface index' error on FortiWLC.
Solution
When an ESSID (SSID) profile is added whose 'RF Virtualization Mode' is set to 'Virtual Cell' to legacy FortiAPs models such as FortiAP-320, FortiAP-400 and other FortiAP models that support ONLY 'Virtual Port' or 'Native Cell' – FortiWLC prompts 'Invalid parameter supplied for the following FortiAPs and interface index' as shown below:
Solution.For FortiAP-320, FortiAP-400 and other legacy AP models that support only 'Virtual Port' or 'Native Cell'– ensure ESSID (SSID) profile 'RF Virtualization Mode' is set to either 'Virtual Port' or 'Native Cell' as shown below:
Goto Configuration -> Wireless -> ESS -> RF Virtualization Mode -> Virtual Port or Native Cell.Notes.
