Description
In public cloud environments, sometimes it is necessary to map a VIP to a FQDN address.
Prior to v6.4.2,It was available from CLI.

This article describes how to configure FQDN-based VIPs from GUI.


Scope
For version 6.4.2.

Solution
To Configure FQDN Address Object.

1) Go to Policy & Objects -> Addresses -> Create New -> Address.
2) Enter a name for the FQDN.
3) For Type, select 'FQDN'.
4) For FQDN,Enter desired FQDN Name.

To configure a FQDN-based VIP.

5) Go to Policy & Objects -> Addresses -> Create New -> Address.
6) Enter a name for the FQDN.
7) For Type, select 'FQDN'.
8) For FQDN,Enter desired FQDN Name.
9) Go to Policy & Objects -> Virtual IPs, select 'Create New' -> Virtual IP.
10) Enter a name for the VIP.
11) Select an interface.
12) For Type, select FQDN.
13) Enter the external IP address.
14) For Mapped address, select a FQDN address.
15) Select 'OK'.
