Description

This article discusses about customer service scans on Linux CentOS 8 machines.
The Persistent Agent service 'bndaemon' does not have enough permissions on CentOS 8 to list running processes.  This causes custom scans to fail for services that are actually running.

Example:

Custom scan requiring Malwarebytes (process name=mbdaemon) fails on Host A.
Running the command 'systemctl status mbdaemon' on Host A shows the service is actually running.

Scope
Version: Agent 5.2.4 (possibly lower)

Solution
Addressed in versions 8.8.5 and 9.1.0.
